When can we talk about it?
(1) First, if someone is endowed with small and flat buttocks. In this case, with the placement of an implant, we can create rounder and firmer buttocks. The incision for this procedure is also made in an area covered by the bikini. The implants are dependable and we've been using them for decades. Healing and suture removal are in two weeks.
(2) In the second case, gluteoplasty is done if the buttocks are too large and too sagy. We combine the procedure with liposuction since most often it is the excessive deposit of fat which causes the skin to stretch and sag.
(3) Finally, new technique: The basis of the procedure is the suspension and roundening of the buttocks by means of a strong, slowly absorbed thread. This approach, however, is less reliable as the thread may cut through tissue resulting int he loosening of the suspension. In this procedure, the thread is passed under the skin by means of a special instrument, so that the ttissue is lifted and tightened in three, or five places.
